HOUSE OF LIGHT
CHILD PROTECTION POLICY
Any employee, volunteer for House of Light in contact with
clients will be CRB checked, any issues or concerns following
the CRB check then that individual will not be allowed to
work in our field of work.
If a child is deemed to be at risk of neglect or harm or
abuse, both physically and emotionally and House of Light
has concerns about that child’s welfare then the policy
“DEALING WITH CHILD WELFARE CONCERNS” should
be followed.
House of Light staff are to be kept updated with current
local Child Protection Policy Guidelines and procedures.
VULNERABLE ADULTS
If House of Light feels that an individual is at risk of
significant harm to oneself or is threatening suicide or
to kill or severely harm another person or if the individual
gives information which would indicate a possible terrorist
threat, then House of Light must act on this accordingly
by informing the appropriate emergency services, i.e:-
General Practitioner, Emergency Services, Social Services.
SHARING INFORMATION IN EXCEPTIONAL
CIRCUMSTANCES
Women requiring support will be asked to sign a disclaimer
to give consent that if House of Light deems it appropriate
to enhance that individuals care, or that individual is
deemed to be “at risk” then information/details
may be shared with other Health Professionals, i.e. Midwives,
Health Visitors, General Practitioners and Psychiatrists.
CLIENT CONFIDENTIALITY
Members of House of Light supporting individuals should
not discuss clients details with non House of Light staff,
unless the sharing information in exceptional circumstances
rule applies.
PERSONAL INFORMATION STORAGE
House of Light will ensure all personal information and
documentation is kept safe against improper disclosure at
all times.
